Luxury interior in a loft in the building name "Red Apple", New York

Located on the 12th floor in the building name "Red Apple" in Sofia is this impressive loft. This loft spread over 96 square meters and have distinguished design of Soho in New York (old factories turned into studios and homes of artists in the 60s.

According to the designer:“In order to achieve a specific contrast I combined the energy and warmth of natural materials like brick, wood and metal with clean and minimalist modern design. The owner of the loft is a man with a bohemian and adventurous spirit! Therefore, my target was a place active and artistically, but simultaneously a good environment for many objects and works of art collected during his travels.”
The six-meter height in the living room allowed for the construction of an intermediate platform, which is a place for relaxation, meditation, reading and especially for the contemplation of the stunning view of the city. The designer also created two art-installations (“The Secret Garden” and “Urbanus Folklor”), which bring dynamic accents to the space of the living room and bedroom. “For me the realization of this project was a process of constantly reinventing and rethinking of my understanding of aesthetics and design and of course an irreplaceable experience“, concluded the designer.

Inspiring from the residence in Norway : ZEB Pilot house

ZEB Pilot house is an design completed by  Snøhetta,in collaboration with ZEB and Ootimera. This house is an innovative architecture project embedding a variety of sustainable solutions.
The building in Larvik, Norway has everything a single family house needs, yet it is intended as a show-home for various groundbreaking energy-efficient systems. But we can’t help feeling intrigued by its original exterior, with an oblique dominant black volume and sloping roof clad in solar panels. Have a look at the last photo of this post for a better understanding of the project and its features!

Architects believe , focus on carbon emissions associated with building materials represents a new direction in the vital drive toward a sustainable construction industry: “To achieve ZEB-OM classification the project is required to document and verify a minimum of 100% CO2 offsetting. Renewable energy production via photovoltaic and solar-thermal panels integrated in the building envelope enables offsetting of carbon emissions generated by the burning of fossil fuels in power stations. By offsetting in this manner we reduce emission of other greenhouse gasses simultaneously.”
ZEB Pilot House in Norway is an inspiring example of how architecture and sustainable technology combine in raising living standards, as well as environmental consciousness.

Essential Tips for Packing Your Home for a Move

It goes without saying that moving is often a hectic, stressful event. Whether your destination is only a few blocks away or on the other side of the globe, the sheer number of tasks involved in actually transporting all of your belongings there takes its toll on even the most patient of people.

Luckily, there are a few ways in which you can minimize the hassle, and most of them have to do with what is arguably the biggest chore in the whole process: packing. For most people, the thought of preparing even a suitcase for a short trip can be enough to deter them from the whole endeavor. Packing – and, for that matter, unpacking – an entire apartment or house, however, is an experience on an entirely different level. The most important fact to remember is that a little planning and organizing go a long way towards ensuring a carefree mind come moving day. With that in mind, here are some tips which should save you a lot of time and bother.

Prepare ahead of time

It is very useful to create a checklist prior to packing. This will help you keep track of the most important objects, which should, ideally, be taken care of first. Eating utensils, paper towels, toilet paper, phone and laptop chargers, and essential medications should be a top priority, since these are the things you will most likely need as soon as you arrive to your new home. Many people also choose to pack an overnight bag with a change of clothes, just in case.

It is crucial that you prepare appropriate boxes with clear labels in advance. Include information about ownership, as well as which room of your new apartment or house the box in question will go to. This will save precious time when you have to unpack and settle in. Think about investing in a roll of stretch wrap, which will help you group together boxes with similar contents or those which belong in the same room.

Finally, always make sure you have an adequate supply of packing materials. You do not want to run out of boxes or tape when in the middle of packing, do you?

Packing day

If it is possible, devote an entire day to packing. Start early in the day – it is always better to have time to spare.

If you live in a house, the first floor which you should pack should be the attic, while the basement ought to be saved for last. Always focus on a single room or floor at a time, and stick to your schedule. Don’t be afraid to ask for help; as we said before, packing your entire home can be daunting. Time will simply fly by if you have a team of people at your side.

An important tip often given by moving crews is that you should pack heavier items in smaller boxes, so that they are easier to handle. Lighter items like clothes and linen should go in larger boxes. You should also remember never to fill the boxes completely – leave at least an inch or two of space. Tightly packed boxes are difficult to carry and prone to opening or tearing mid-move, which is the last thing you want to happen.

All dangerous materials, such as bleach, cleaning products, paints, nail polish and aerosol cans, should be packed separately, preferably in bubble-wrap-lined boxes so as to minimize damage to the containers during transport.

Breakables, like lamps or mirrors, should be individually packed. Again, bubble wrap is your friend; it will save you time and worry during the move, since several layers of it can protect even the most fragile of objects.

Important documents, such as passports, contracts, and birth and marriage certificates, should be kept together and in a safe spot, preferably somewhere where you can easily reach them at all times.

If you often have problems hooking up electronic devices, a great idea is to take a photo or make a diagram of the connections. This will make it that much simpler to reconnect the devices when your move is over.

Lastly, make sure your packing is complete before the movers arrive. Always check that all your boxes are securely taped, and inspect all nooks and crannies for missed items. You wouldn’t want to arrive at your new home only to find out you forgot something, right?

Packing – in reverse

An important thing to note about unpacking is that, in most cases, you will have plenty of time to complete it. Not everything needs to be unpacked at once; the process can take several days or more. Still, when it comes to perishables and items which need special storage, do not wait too long, otherwise your items will spoil.

When you and your items finally get to your destination, first unpack the essentials – toiletries, medications, towels, eating utensils, and chargers. Ideally, the kitchen items should follow, then the bedrooms and the living room, followed by the bathroom; leave the least important rooms, like the garage or basement, for last.

If your move is completed later in the day or if you have a busy afternoon and are unable to unpack the bedrooms, do not worry. All that you need are clean linens and pillows, and you can sleep on mattresses instead. Even though it might be a tad uncomfortable, remember that this is only a temporary solution, for a single night. It is much smarter to begin unpacking the bedrooms earlier in the day than to start in the evening and finish early in the morning. Quality sleep is precious, especially after a huge event such as a move.

One last tip: when it comes to furniture, it is always a good idea to have a floor plan and to know exactly where each item will go. In the early stages, you should be able to rearrange furniture with relative ease. Therefore, always make sure that satisfied with the layout of beds, sofas, tables, chairs, wardrobes, drawers, and other items of furniture before you proceed unpacking clothes and other lighter items. Finding out that you are unhappy with the placement of a bulky piece of furniture you already filled with other items is something you most certainly do not want nor need this late in the move. Once you finish unpacking, take some well-earned time to relax and enjoy your new living space! Watch your favorite movie, invite friends over, or just spend some quality time with other members of your family in your new home – the choice is entirely up to you.

Want Home With Great Lighting?

One of the characteristics of a healthy home is a home that has a near-perfect lighting, especially sunlight in the daytime, in addition to the windows and doors to ventilasi light or air, there are no less important than that is the skylights, the actual function of skylights not vary much with door or window.

However, the window must have been on the wall, while the skylights on the roof instead of tile. so when compared with the window will be optimal sunlight into the house from morning until late afternoon when using skylights, and not much different from other elements.

Skylight is also a solution to provide natural penghawaan, which is needed in a home. Because usually cover skylights made of Polycarbonate or glass should be given some sort of frame, which can be made of aluminum, the space between the cover and the concrete or existing roof can be spaced for air flow.

Usually skylights are made when the element is sufficient natural penghawaan in the house, because when natural penghawaan in your house is not sufficient, skylights should not be closed so that its presence can be a source of air in your home and the source of light. And usually in a state as well as the park was made into a park underneath that its presence in the house that can make you comfortable.

In designing a house, skylights is one solution that can be applied so that the house does not become stuffy without air and penghawaan, especially for poor spaces window.

But need to know if installing skylights can not sambarang place or roof. position or location skylights proper placement, it will provide the perfect lighting or heat, therefore we must understand the technique determines the position of the skylights.

For example Skylight faced towards the east could give maximum exposure in the morning, And sabaliknya Skylight directed to the west will get a light in the afternoon hari.apa when faced to the north, the effect appears strabil lighting and constant but the air in the room is always cold and cool. Perhaps for more details you can visit at here Sydney skylights, which might serve as a guide for the design of your home.

The ceiling is dark-colored and the flooring uses exclusive Dineson planks of a light color to offer a contrast with it. On the upper level there are rough floor tiles that actually offer a harmony with the ceiling and not a contrast, giving each level its distinct design.

The largest hotel in Latin America named Trump Ocean Club Panama

Trump Ocean Club Panama is the largest hotel in Latin America and located in Punta Pacifica, overlooking the Panama Bay.That hotel is designed by HBA / Hirsch Bedner Associates in collaboration with Ivanka Trump and inspired from the country’s culture and history.

The official name of the club is Trump Ocean Club International Hotel & Tower Panama. It contains 369 hotel rooms that include 47 suites and it will receive travelers that are fond of luxury- a trademark for the Trump image. One entire floor of the hotel will exclusively contain boutiques and shops of the finest kind.

Multiple restaurants satisfy all sorts of gourmands and the pool deck offers the view of the Pacific Ocean.10,000 square feet were reserved for The Spa at Trump, another 46,000 square feet for meeting spaces and on the nearby Isla Viveros you can find a casino and a private beach club. The hotel will be the first international venture for the Trump Hotel Collection.
The Arrival Lobby is 24 feet high and the windows are tall so that light can easily fill the lobby. From this place guests can reach the Sky Lobby on the 15th floor. The Sky Lobby is adorned with rugs that have flowers of Panama printed on them. It’s basically designed as a large living room that has a beautiful view of the city and the ocean. The curving windows of the lobby create a welcoming atmosphere. The lobby also has a private game room.
HBA combined the modern designs and facilities with the traditions of Panama to serve as elements of decor. Rooms are arrayed around a four story atrium and the carpets remind us of mola (mola is the traditional costume that the indigenous people called Kuna wear).Even here the windows are tall so that light can better fill the atrium.
HBA took care of every little detail. Even the wood carvings that can be found in the headboards are inspired from a bracelet made by locals. The design of the fabrics on the bed remind us of mola, too. The bathrooms can be found within the guestroom and function as an open space. The bathtubs are oval and they allow freestanding. They can be draped at request.
Some interesting American elements have slithered their way into the design of the hotel. For example the colors of the pool spaces remind us of the old Hollywood lifestyle.(the bright yellows, corals and blue colours). There are two pools ,one of them having a glass wall that allows you to see the swimmers underwater. Floating on wooden planks over the water upholstered sun beds with canopies can be used for relaxation.
